My top pick for taking your valuable rods and reels as a carry on when travelling. Check your clothes but take your rods in this case!
I can fish naked if the airlines loose my clothes but i can't go without my rod and reel! I ALWAYS take my gear as a carry on and this is the perfect bag for that. It is hard sided for protection but the perfect size to carry up to 7 rods removed from the tubes. I can also get 5-6 reels, fly boxes, leaders, tippets etc into this case and still carry it on. I've found nothing better in fly fishing travel luggage.
